How much air pressure does the AXS seatpost have? ›

It comes set at or near the max 250psi setting.

The Reverb is a smooth post that has a solid and quality feel. The hydraulic actuation, as opposed to the more common cable actuation, generally feels pretty consistent. The air spring works flawlessly, and the process of dropping the post down and raising it back up is beautifully smooth.

Room Reverb

Room reverbs are appropriate for vocals, guitars, pianos, drums — just about everything. When used in moderation, these reverbs can add space to a source while maintaining an intimate, in-person character.

For strings I recommend TC-6000 (or TC-4000) as well as Lexicon PCM-96. A rather long pre-delay and dry/close microphone position. (Not too much low frequency boost in the reverb tail can also be helpful). Nevertheless trust your ears and feeling and not so much numbers.

SRAM claims 40 hours of riding time for the AXS battery, and up to 2 years for the coin cell battery in the remote. Checking the battery charge is as easy as pressing the small button on the side of the seatpost.

Should reverb be mono or stereo? ›

Reverb. Most digital reverbs are in stereo by default, so unless you're using a plate reverb, spring reverb or a real chamber you probably don't have to worry about having to make your reverb returns stereo. There are, nonetheless, some great applications for mono reverbs in a mix.

It's ok to use more than two reverbs, but try to keep the number pretty low. You can go really simple and just use one mono room reverb. I don't recommend doing this for every mix. But it's helpful if you want to create depth in your mix without doing much to change the overall space.

That's normal. Being a Reverb, chances are your remote needs a bleed. Air in the line would cause the remote not to activate the valve to drop/raise the post.

How does reverb AXS work? ›

The Reverb AXS utilizes hydraulic (oil and air) actuation, much like all previous Reverbs. However, for the first time, it includes a vent valve to relieve any “squish” that might occur when the air mixes with oil.

The usual air pressure of the post is between 210-250psi. Less pressure inside the air chamber, does not only mean slower return speed, but also less return pressure for the push rod, which engages the lower leverage unit. Reset the post and fully extend it.

Generally, starting at 25 PSI is a good place to start for XC. If you are riding more all-mountain/endure, start with 28-30PSI. Keep in mind that these numbers are based on your weight as a rider. Larger riders will have to run higher pressures, but this is a good starting point.

Calculating your ideal saddle height based on your inseam is easy. On average, the seat height should be 109% of your inseam.

Hence, threaded bottom brackets come with a recommended torque of from 35 Nm to 50 Nm or 35-45 Nm. As long as you tighten at the limits, or anywhere inside that range, then the probability the BB will loosen is small.

Typically only 10% to 15% of the overall torque is actually used to tighten the bolt, the rest is used to overcome friction in the threads and on the contact face that is being rotated (nut face or bolt head).

A typical torque spec is 4–6 Nm.

Never clamp the frame. Instead, if you have a round aluminum seatpost, clamp that. If your seatpost is carbon, the safest thing to do is to purchase an inexpensive aluminum seatpost that's the same diameter as your post and then use it for clamping when you work on your bike.
