FAQs
How much air pressure does the AXS seatpost have? ›
It comes set at or near the max 250psi setting.
What pressure is the AXS dropper? ›Minimum 200 PSI. Do not exceed 500 PSI.
Is Rockshox Reverb good? ›The Reverb is a smooth post that has a solid and quality feel. The hydraulic actuation, as opposed to the more common cable actuation, generally feels pretty consistent. The air spring works flawlessly, and the process of dropping the post down and raising it back up is beautifully smooth.

3. Inflate to 250psi. Screw a shock pump into place until you see the needle register pressure and then tighten a further quarter-turn. Inflate to 250psi and remove the pump.
What PSI should my dropper post be? ›The pressure should be 250-300psi with the post fully extended. Users are encouraged to perform regular maintenance earlier if required.
What is normal dropper size? ›The most common sizes of diameters are 27.2, 30.9, 31.6mm with a newcomer of 34.9mm starting to become more common.
Which reverb is best for vocals? ›Room Reverb
Room reverbs are appropriate for vocals, guitars, pianos, drums — just about everything. When used in moderation, these reverbs can add space to a source while maintaining an intimate, in-person character.
For strings I recommend TC-6000 (or TC-4000) as well as Lexicon PCM-96. A rather long pre-delay and dry/close microphone position. (Not too much low frequency boost in the reverb tail can also be helpful). Nevertheless trust your ears and feeling and not so much numbers.
How long does reverb AXS battery last? ›SRAM claims 40 hours of riding time for the AXS battery, and up to 2 years for the coin cell battery in the remote. Checking the battery charge is as easy as pressing the small button on the side of the seatpost.
How much travel does the RockShox reverb have? ›
Travel | 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, 175mm, 200mm |
---|---|
Post diameter | 30.9mm, 31.6mm, 34.9mm |
Post length | 301mm, 351mm, 414mm, 467mm, 519.5mm |
Remote | 1X, Standard (L-Below, R-Above) |
The post itself weighs a respectable 650g (the remote weighs 63g). RockShox caters for just about every frame size out there, offering the Reverb AXS in 30.9, 31.6 and 34.9mm diameters.
How much psi should I put in my shock? ›Keep in mind that air shocks are like tires: you shouldn't operate the air shocks with no air in them. For a manual system, you should have a minimum of 20 PSI in the shocks. When under load, add only enough air pressure to maintain level ride height.
What PSI should I run in my rear shock? ›Do not exceed 300 psi, the maximum FLOAT air pressure!
Is it bad to leave your dropper post down? ›You will be perfectly fine storing and shipping the bike with the post compressed without any problems. You just don't want to have it stored that way for long periods of time.” I had asked if leaving it for “a few days” was fine, so I interpret longer term to mean weeks or longer.
How far should a dropper post drop? ›To choose the correct travel dropper post, measure from the seatpost collar to the seat rail (in your climbing, or highest setting) on your current bike. Subtract 50mm from this measurement and the resulting number is the maximum travel length dropper post you can comfortably run.
What is the best lubricant for dropper post? ›We recommend Slickoleum Grease, Slick Honey, Sram Butter or any other high quality waterproof light grease.
Should my dropper post wiggle? ›Without a bit of wiggle room between the stanchion and the mid cap bushing, the dirt and grime that makes its way into your dropper could do some serious damage. We allow for 1-2 mm of play in the dropper post to avoid this.
Should I grease my seat post? ›Over time, metals like an aluminum seatpost and a steel seat tube can fuse through oxidation or bind through friction. Simply applying a coat of grease between the two provides a barrier against corrosion.
How many drops in a dropper full? ›Product Description. This basic glass pipet is also known as an eye dropper or pipette. It holds about 1ml or 20 drops.
Does 1 drop mean the whole dropper? ›
No, all drops from a dropper are not necessarily the same size. Depending on the dropper design, the size of the drops may vary. For example, some droppers use a glass pipette that draw liquid through capillary action to dispense a single drop at a time.
Is one dropper full 1ml? ›No, 1 ml is not the same as 1 drop. A milliliter (ml) is a measure of volume while a drop is an approximate measure of how much liquid falls from a medicine dropper. It takes approximately 20 drops to equal 1 ml, so 1 ml is not equivalent to one drop.
How many drops is 1 ml from a dropper? ›Pharmacists have since moved to metric measurements, with a drop being rounded to exactly 0.05 mL (50 μL, that is, 20 drops per milliliter).
Why does my dropper post go down when I sit on it? ›If your dropper post is moving without pressing the lever (it won't stay up as you are riding), then you have too much tension on the cable. You'll want to REMOVE tension. To do so, turn the barrel adjuster clockwise.
How much does 1 ml look like on a dropper? ›One milliliter (1 ml) of liquid is equal to 20 drops. You may also see this referred to as 1 cc (cubic centimeters). This measurement is often used when administering medicine or other liquids orally. A standard eyedropper dispenses 0.05 mL per drop, meaning that there are 20 drops in 1 milliliter of medication.
What reverb did Eddie Van Halen use? ›MXR M300 Digital Reverb Pedal.
Should you put reverb directly on vocals? ›Why use vocal reverb? Vocal reverb adds audible space, distance, and dimension to a vocal, whereas a vocal without reverb sounds like it's in a void. Reverb sounds great on vocals because it smears a vocal with reflections, masking subtle imperfections in a performance.
What is the most common reverb? ›Room reverb is the most basic type of reverb, and will emulate the sound of a small room. The goal of this type of reverb is to recreate the natural reverb you hear when talking or playing an instrument. Common room types might include bedrooms, living rooms, and or even bathrooms.
How can I make my reverb sound better? ›- Use your reverb's high-pass filter. ...
- Use your reverb's low-pass filter. ...
- Automate reverb parameters. ...
- Pan verbs for width. ...
- Determine the location. ...
- Use less than you think. ...
- Compress your vocal 'verbs.
When making a vocal chain, you'll want to process in this order: tuning, equalization, compression, saturation, excitement, upward compression, and then reverb and delay sends. There are other chains of course, but I've found this to be a great starting point with an overall professional sound.
Should reverb be mono or stereo? ›
Reverb. Most digital reverbs are in stereo by default, so unless you're using a plate reverb, spring reverb or a real chamber you probably don't have to worry about having to make your reverb returns stereo. There are, nonetheless, some great applications for mono reverbs in a mix.
How much reverb is enough? ›It's ok to use more than two reverbs, but try to keep the number pretty low. You can go really simple and just use one mono room reverb. I don't recommend doing this for every mix. But it's helpful if you want to create depth in your mix without doing much to change the overall space.
Is reverb better than echo? ›Do reverb and echo have the same effect? Adding reverb to your room creates a feeling of vastness. It provides more space for the sound to wander in and can help you unify the differences between different tracks. Adding echo creates a dynamic reaffirmation with a quieter but audible repetition of the signal.
What reverb did Pink Floyd use? ›He used a Binson Echorec, as well as many other vintage pedals and studio equipment, to achieve the tone he desired.
Can you fly with AXS batteries? ›Tech tip: Keep your batteries in your carry-on baggage for air travel, as lithium batteries pose safety concerns if damaged during a flight. Your batteries could be confiscated by security if left in checked baggage.
How long does AXS last on red for? ›Checking battery life is easy: press the AXS button on the post. If the LED is green, that indicates between 15-60 hours of ride time. If the LED is red, that means 6-15 hours of ride time.
Are RockShox Reverb AXS waterproof? ›The RockShox Reverb AXS is completely waterproof to the IPX7 international standard as long as the battery or battery cover is in place.
What is the highest end RockShox? ›RockShox BoXXer
The BoXXer Ultimate is the flagship model. It has a Charger 2.1 damper and a downhill-tuned DebonAir air spring.
That's normal. Being a Reverb, chances are your remote needs a bleed. Air in the line would cause the remote not to activate the valve to drop/raise the post.
How much does a 170mm reverb AXS weigh? ›Travel | 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, 170mm |
---|---|
Post length | 340mm, 390mm, 440mm, 480mm |
Remote | AXS Controller Sold Separately, Included |
Weight (g) | 676 |
Weight Based On | 170mm 31.6 W/O battery - Battery 25g |
How does reverb AXS work? ›
The Reverb AXS utilizes hydraulic (oil and air) actuation, much like all previous Reverbs. However, for the first time, it includes a vent valve to relieve any “squish” that might occur when the air mixes with oil.
How much air pressure for bike yoke dropper post? ›The usual air pressure of the post is between 210-250psi. Less pressure inside the air chamber, does not only mean slower return speed, but also less return pressure for the push rod, which engages the lower leverage unit. Reset the post and fully extend it.
What PSI should I run at bike park? ›Generally, starting at 25 PSI is a good place to start for XC. If you are riding more all-mountain/endure, start with 28-30PSI. Keep in mind that these numbers are based on your weight as a rider. Larger riders will have to run higher pressures, but this is a good starting point.
How much torque do I need for a seat post saddle? ›Using your frame and/or seatpost torque specs as a guide, set the torque with a 4mm hex torque wrench. A good rule of thumb is to never exceed 6 Nm. If you're using a carbon seatpost or dropper post, you may need to set the torque at a much lower measurement to prevent crushing/binding of materials.
What torque do you need to tighten a carbon seatpost? ›Using your frame and/or seatpost torque specs as a guide, use a 4mm hex torque wrench to set the torque. Never exceed 6 Nm, and if you are using a carbon seatpost or a dropper post, you may have to set it at a much lower measurement to prevent any crushing or binding of materials.
Why is my dropper post not going up all the way? ›If your dropper post doesn't reach its full height when actuated, the issue can often be more obvious than it seems. We recommend you check the tightness of your saddle clamp before conducting a full maintenance tear down and the psi of your post if you have the Loam, Coast, or Bachelor.
How much weight does a dropper post add? ›A dropper post averages 600 grams, give or take. The average weight of aluminum alloy seat posts is around 250-300 grams. Less for most carbon seat posts. So you're doubling the weight.
Is 40 psi too high for bike? ›Proper tire pressure lets your bike roll quickly, ride smoothly, and avoid flats. Narrow tires need more air pressure than wide ones: Road tires typically require 65 to 95 psi (pounds per square inch); mountain bike tires, 15 to 25 psi; and gravel tires, 25 to 40 psi.
What psi should a 27.5 mountain bike be? ›Mountain Bike Tires (with Inner Tubes)
27.5" = 40 - 50 psi. 29" = 35 - 45 psi. Use an air pressure gauge to check your psi before every ride for a faster, safer, more enjoyable ride!
In short, we recommend beginner trail riders start with the following pressures on tubeless tyres: Front: 27 PSI. Rear: 30 PSI.
What is the best seat post height? ›
Calculating your ideal saddle height based on your inseam is easy. On average, the seat height should be 109% of your inseam.
What torque should I set my bottom bracket to? ›Hence, threaded bottom brackets come with a recommended torque of from 35 Nm to 50 Nm or 35-45 Nm. As long as you tighten at the limits, or anywhere inside that range, then the probability the BB will loosen is small.
How much torque do you need to tighten nuts? ›Typically only 10% to 15% of the overall torque is actually used to tighten the bolt, the rest is used to overcome friction in the threads and on the contact face that is being rotated (nut face or bolt head).
What torque should I set my carbon stem? ›A typical torque spec is 4–6 Nm.
Is it OK to clamp a carbon seatpost? ›Never clamp the frame. Instead, if you have a round aluminum seatpost, clamp that. If your seatpost is carbon, the safest thing to do is to purchase an inexpensive aluminum seatpost that's the same diameter as your post and then use it for clamping when you work on your bike.
